Since 2000, The MicroInsurance Centre has been working with insurers and MFIs (in the broadest sense) developing partnerships that result in low-income people around the world gaining access to microinsurance products.
We have worked in numerous countries on several different types of activities.
- Long term relationships where we work with a partnership from concept to rollout as with CARE, GLICO, and rural banks in Ghana.
- Short term activities such as with Compartamos in Mexico, or the MicroFund for Women in Jordan.
- Case studies of microinsurance providers such as Card MBA in the Philippines, and AIG Uganda.
- Country studies assessing the potential for successful microinsurance as in Uganda, Georgia, and Albania.
